Every Good Landscape Starts on Paper, Not in the Dirt

The fastest way to waste money on a landscape is skipping the plan and just start buying plants that look nice at the nursery that week. Six months later half of them are dead because nobody checked sun exposure, and the survivors are crowding each other out because nobody mapped mature size.

We start with an actual site visit — walking your property, checking drainage patterns, mapping sun and shade through the day, and talking through what you actually want from the space. From there we build a real plan: what gets planted where, in what sequence, and why.

Then We Install It Ourselves

Design and installation under one roof means no handoff between a designer who’s never picked up a shovel and an installer who’s improvising from a sketch. The crew that plants it is working from the same plan that was built around your actual property.

What a Real Site Assessment Looks At

Beyond sun and shade, we look at soil condition, existing drainage patterns, mature tree canopy that will change light levels over time, and how the property is actually used day to day — where kids play, where the dog runs, where you actually sit outside. A design that ignores any of that ends up beautiful on paper and wrong in practice.

Phasing a Larger Project

Not every property gets done in one season, and that’s fine — we build master plans that can be installed in phases as budget allows, without the later phases looking like they were tacked on. Structural elements and grading get addressed early since they’re hardest to retrofit later, with planting and finishing details following in whatever order makes sense for your timeline.
