The difference between good landscape lighting and a yard full of spotlights is restraint and layering. We mix uplighting on focal trees, gentle path lighting at a lower level for safety, and occasional accent lighting on architecture, rather than lighting everything at the same intensity. Done well, the fixtures themselves should be nearly invisible during the day and the light they throw should feel natural at night, not like a stage set.

LED, Low-Voltage, Built to Last

Every install uses low-voltage LED fixtures — a fraction of the energy draw of old halogen systems, with a lifespan that makes replacement an afterthought instead of an annual chore. Programmable timers and dusk-to-dawn sensors mean you set it once.

Living With a Lighting System

Low-voltage LED fixtures need very little upkeep — mainly checking that plant growth hasn’t started shading a fixture over the season and cleaning lenses occasionally so light output stays crisp. Transformers and timers are set once and rarely need attention beyond adjusting for seasonal daylight changes.

Lighting is one of the most common add-ons to a new paver patio or fire pit project, and pairs naturally with seasonal lighting for the holidays or permanent architectural lighting for year-round color.

Zoning and Control

Larger lighting designs get split into zones so you can run just path lighting on a quiet night or bring up the full architectural and tree lighting for entertaining, rather than an all-or-nothing single switch. App-based control on larger systems lets you adjust timing and brightness without an electrician revisiting the property every time your schedule changes.
