What’s Actually On the Lot Changes Every Few Weeks — Here’s the Pattern

Unlike a hardware store’s garden section that looks the same in March and August, our inventory genuinely shifts with the growing season. What’s available in late April looks nothing like what’s stocked in October, on purpose.

Roughly What to Expect

Early Spring (March–April): cool-season annuals, early perennials, bare-root trees and roses

Late Spring (May–June): peak selection — full annuals, vegetable starts, shrubs, trees, perennials

Summer (July–August): heat-tolerant annuals, ornamental grasses, container gardens

Fall (September–October): mums, pansies, ornamental kale, fall bulbs

Year-round: evergreens, mulch, decorative rock

Why Inventory Shifts This Fast

Plants have a real shelf life at their best — a flat of spring annuals that looks perfect in May isn’t what you want in July, and holding onto it just to have something on the shelf does nobody any favors. We turn inventory over deliberately so what’s available always matches what actually performs well planted that week, rather than carrying stock that’s past its ideal planting window.

Best Bet: Check Before You Drive Out

Inventory shifts weekly as shipments arrive and popular items sell through. A quick call before you make the trip saves you from finding an empty spot where you expected something.

Planning Around the Calendar

If you’re planning a specific project — a fall planting push, spring color for a big event, or a particular tree you have your eye on — calling a week or two ahead lets us make sure it’s in stock or flag the lead time if it needs to be ordered in, rather than hoping it happens to be on the lot when you arrive.
